Cruising the Colorado River

I am going to take the weekend getaways from las vegas nv to Grand Canyon and while this trip, I decided that I must enjoy cruising the Colorado River in a dory there because I heard that when you take a trip of Grand Canyon then don't miss to enjoy this activity there. What all of you say about this? Have you any experience in this regard?

I never enjoyed Cruising in the Colorado River but not will consider being there for fun. Hope in this way will enjoy a day fully. If you have any tip when to go for it then must share frankly.
